We often hear that entrepreneurs are people who start their own business. It is also an instant that, when we hear the term entrepreneur, we tend to associate it with a person who has or is starting their ventures or in other words straggling on their own. The word Entrepreneur is derived from the french word ‘entreprende’, which means “to undertake”. Before the middle ages, the word was used to describe someone who signs a contract with a money person to sell his goods.
This is indeed the case as the formal definition of an Entrepreneur is someone who pulls resources, labor, materials, and other assets into a combination that makes their value greater than before. It is a good thing to complete university or any cycle of education and work at the offices from 9 AM – 5 PM and get some peanuts at the end of the month.
Also, it is very beautiful and rightful seeing young people making waves in excellences but it is not the only way of bringing prosperity into the picture and living the best life you want to live as a graduate. Am stressing on ‘GRADUATES’ because many people think getting a white-colored job makes you successful, the answer is a BIG NO.
Owning your own business is a sense of freedom and empowerment. You can build things and watch them grow.
Entrepreneurs make decisions for themselves and realize their creative vision with the help of other entrepreneurs, customers, and vendors. It is a great way to live a free life and make visions and dreams come through.
Success comes when you come from your comfort zone to make ends meet, most importantly, we have to note that 1 Ghana Cedis today is not the same when a year goes by.
It’s a great way to live. That is why I will challenge all young graduates to take entrepreneurship seriously because it pays – I can’t get enough.
That’s why I put together reasons why more entrepreneurs are becoming more successful than employees.
1.THEY ARE PASSIONATE.
If you don’t love what you, don’t waste your time doing it. Starting a business on your own demands greater time and more commitment to get it done fruitfully.
When you are passionate about what you do putting much time, commitment won’t feel like sacrifices anymore but rather an enjoyable moment of putting in the work. It feels second-rate if you see graduates working with inadequate skills all in the name, he/she is a BIG MAN son or daughter, they put in zero productivity with no passion for the job he or she does. With this, it always leaves them working at one place for a long time.
If you’re not passionate about what you do, you’re not going to have the motivation to keep you moving when you are stressing out with TIME. “when will the vision come through”
As we all know, working for yourself feels better than taking commands from people you even have higher qualifications than. But that’s the choice of most graduates. Enjoy it.
Entrepreneurs are more passionate than that people who are working for people, I call them ‘9 AM-5 PM Workerholics’ and with that, they find love in what they do.
That’s passion right there.
2. ENTREPRENEURS TAKE RISK.
Generally, humans are risk-averse, entrepreneurs are recognized by risk, and the more you take the risk the more you expand your chance of achieving bigger.
Entrepreneurs are succeeding now with a wider range more than employers because they are risk lovers and most employees sit back and do the daily routine work every day for the Entrepreneurs.
Successful entrepreneurs take risks. it’s part of the process and the job. Taking risks has a dangerous side, but the opportunity they present often far outweigh the potential danger.
3. ENTREPRENEURS VISUALIZE GOAL
VisualiIf I say entrepreneurs visualize their goals more efficiently it doesn’t mean the “9 AM – 5 PM WORKERHOLICS” don’t do the same but they don’t have time focusing on what they want to achieve for themselves but rather helping the CEO’S achieve their vision.
Every serious entrepreneur ask this question;
- I want to become a successful entrepreneur.
- I want to become a successful entrepreneur by starting a business that solves a problem for this specific niche of many people.
The second one is right, meaning if you come clear and explain your goals and visualize them it becomes more achievable more than sitting back and watching it.
The more reason why many employees fail is that they get to work and think about someone’s job forgetting about their goals.
